This week Devin Townsend issued a statement about upcoming project ‘Casualties of Cool’ –
“We’ll soon launch a 3 month long crowd funding campaign on PledgeMusic since we’ll be releasing this album without a record label to back it up and we’ll need some serious funds to produce nice looking album packaging and get us a great promo video as eye candy. More details on all of this in the coming weeks but here’s a brand new picture of Devin and the lovely Ché Dorval (main vox on the record, you might remember her from DTP’s ‘Ki’ album) already as a bit of a tease…”

Beastmilk to perform at By:Larm
Beastmilk will perform at this year’s By:Larm in Oslo, at 1.30am on Saturday 1st March in the WiMP Tent and 12.00am on Sunday 2nd March at Mono.
By:Larm consists of two parts: a festival and a conference. The main purpose is to present aspiring artists that are on the verge of success, either in their homelands or internationally.
With a diverse live program, the artists at by:Larm represent the highlights of the current Nordic music scene. In addition to introducing the more established artists to an international audience, by:Larm directs the spotlight towards new talents by booking a few bands as the Jury’s Selection. Every year, around 1500 bands from all the Nordic countries apply for by:Larm with a common goal; to impress and convince representatives from the International Music Industry to spend their time and effort on them. They come from Denmark (including The Faroe Islands and Greenland), Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden, with a dream to one day become as great as Lykke Li, Røyksopp, Bjørk, MEW, Jaga Jazzist or maybe Todd Terje.
Last year, 150 acts impressed audiences, journalists and delegates alike. Close to 20 busy venues made by:Larm 2013 the best festival to discover new Nordic music. by:Larm 2014 centers around Youngstorget in Oslo, with all of this year’s 12 venues surrounding the square that is the heart of the festival. 111 bands are booked – ready to kickstart the festival season in February.

Paradise Lost announce South American dates!
Paradise Lost are pleased to announce they will head to South America for their first headline shows of 2014. This is a continuation of the ‘Tragic Illusion’ tour which began last year with an album release of the same name, including b-sides & rarities, celebrating the band’s 25th Anniversary.
